چکیده

Dyeing cotton fabrics with anionic dyes produces high effluent loads and requires a considerable amount of water energy due to the electrostatic repulsion cellulose. Therefore, several approaches have been researched increase efficacy dyeing. One is cationization, which adds cationic sites Another treatment surface plasma. In this paper, combination both techniques was investigated. Two commercially available agents were used: 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride (CHPTAC) poly[bis(2-chloroethyl) ether-alt-1,3-bis[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]urea] quaternized, novel agent also known as Polyquaternium-2 (P42). The plasma performed using dielectric barrier discharge atmospheric facility, helium used seed gas 1.5% oxygen injected. cationization on greige fabric, an innovative sustainable approach that eliminates conventional scouring bleaching processes. treated samples dyed Reactive Red 195 Acid Blue 260 dyes. effect treatments evaluated by different characterization such X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) atomic force microscopy (AFM). slightly increased light fastness for some samples, but tends prevail over treatment. best results attributed pretreated CHPTAC, presented highest K/S lowest unlevelness reactive acid CHPTAC most common textiles, its industrial use limited safety criticisms. between P42 resulted in same color strength offers safer alternative process.

Combinative Scouring, Bleaching, and Cationization Pretreatment of Greige Knitted Cotton Fabrics for Facilely Achieving Salt-Free Reactive Dyeing.

In order to facilely achieve pretreatment and salt-free dyeing of greige knitted cotton fabrics, a combinative scouring, bleaching, and cationization pretreatment of the fabrics is designed in this study. The fabrics are first treated in a bath containing commercial scouring and bleaching agents, and then glycidyltrimethylammonium chloride (GTA) is directly added into the bath to achieve cation...

Dyeing Effects Of Bifunctional Reactive Dyes On Knitted Cotton Fabrics

Introduction: Several new bifunctional reactive dyes of the Sumifix Supra range that carry monochlorotriazine and sulphato ethyl sulphone reactive systems were developed and their dyeing performance studied. Suitable characteristic properties and fastness properties were examined over the knitted cotton fabrics. The dyes were characterized by spectral data and elemental analysis. The dyes struc...

Dyeing of Cotton Fabric with Natural Dyes Improved by Mordants and Plasma Treatment

Nowadays, there is a great tendency for eco-dyeing and finishing of textiles with natural products. several natural dyes have been used for dyeing of protein fibers but a low number have the ability to dye cotton fiber because of low affinity of cellulose to the natural dyes. In this study madder and weld natural colorants were used to dye cotton fabric premordanted with three metallic salt...

Synthesis and Applications of Three Vinylsulfone Based Fiber-reactive azo Dyes for Dyeing Cotton Fabric

Newfangled vinylsulfone (VS) based fiberreactive dyes were synthesized and applied to mill desized, bleached and mercerized textile fabric (100% cotton). Padthermosol dyeing method was utilized due to less hazardous environmental affects and high dye fixation to optimize dyeing quality parameters i.e. salt concentration, pH, dyeing time and dyeing temperature. The pretreated and dyed cotton fab...

Eco-friendly Dyeing of Viscose Fabric with Reactive Dyes

Water-soluble polymers have versatile applications but they are hardly used in wet processing of cellulosic substrates (cotton, viscose, jute, etc.), particularly in dyeing. In this paper, one such water-soluble polymer, polyacrylic acid has been synthesized, characterized and applied to viscose fabric in conjunction with various types of reactive dyes, namely triazinyl, vinyl sulphone, high ex...
